At Smarthotel, we’re on a mission to help hotels do business better – and as a Consultant Payment Solutions, you are an important part of this mission. You’ll guide our hotel clients through every step of their Smart Payments journey, from go-live to continuous optimization, helping them unlock a smooth, hassle-free payment experience.

About the Role

  • Guide hotel teams through the entire go-live process, ensuring a seamless and tailored payment solution that fits their policies and requirements.

  • Collaborate with our strategic partner Adyen and internal teams to manage all aspects of hotel payment solutions, solving functional challenges and optimizing payment processes to reduce manual effort, lower costs, and maximize transaction success.

  • Tackle and resolve complex technical issues, providing ongoing support to improve the client experience and ensure smooth operations. Occasional emergency support outside of office hours is required.

  • Train hotel staff and assist with on-site installation of POS/PIN terminals, ensuring they are fully equipped to manage payments independently, and train finance teams on reconciliation and understanding financial reports.

  • Grow into Smarthotel’s go-to expert on payments, becoming a trusted resource for both clients and internal teams. 

The First 6 Months

In the first six months, you'll engage with our hotel clients in the Benelux, DACH, Nordics, UK and Ireland while diving deep into understanding their needs, Smarthotel’s payments portfolio, and the operational processes that drive our solutions. You’ll work closely with clients to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.

  • It’s a bonus if you’ve got experience in the hotel industry, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn is what matters most.

  • You’re fluent in both Dutch and English. German would be a plus.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, minimum.
