Are you a result driven leader who also thrives on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to an organisation? At Smarthotel, we’re looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to own the Smarthotel financial strategy and lead our internal operations, from HR and IT to facilities. You’ll be part of our Leadership Team, helping shape the company’s future alongside the heads of Sales & Marketing, Development and Customer Success.
About the role
As Finance & (internal) Operations Manager, you are responsible for the financial health of Smarthotel as well as the day-to-day functioning of the departments that support our people and business. You lead a small but essential team and report directly to the Managing Director. This is a broad and rewarding role for someone who enjoys a mix of strategic thinking and operational execution in a dynamic, international SaaS environment.
What you’ll do
Finance
Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Monitor cash flow and oversee accounting processes (outsourced and internal)
Provide financial insights to support business decisions and commercial growth
Lead monthly reporting and support investor reporting
Group Collaboration
Work closely with the Hotel Tech Group CFO to identify and implement synergies with our sister companies
Align on shared tools,reporting standards, and procurement opportunities
Support group-level initiatives and help bring Smarthotel’s voice to the table
Operations & Business Support
Manage and optimise internal operations, including HR, IT, and Facilities
Oversee internal tooling, compliance, and insurance
Be the go-to person for contracts, legal coordination, and internal policies
Lead projects to improve internal efficiency and scalability
Leadership & Collaboration
Be an active member of the Leadership Team
Align closely with other departments on resource planning, hiring, and business priorities
Support a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
About you
You have a strong background in finance, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment
You love working in a fast-paced, hands-on scale-up
You’re structured, analytical, and not afraid to dive into the details
You have experience managing internal operations and cross-functional projects
You’re a clear communicator, fluent in Dutch and English (both are required)
You’re comfortable with numbers and with people
