Director of Finance
Are you a strategic financial leader ready to take ownership of the entire finance operation in a fast-growing SaaS company? At Smarthotel, we’re looking for a Director of Finance who’s excited to drive our financial strategy, guide a growing team, and help us scale with confidence.
As Director of Finance at Smarthotel, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimising our entire financial operation. You’ll work closely with the management team and be a key sparring partner in strategic decision-making. From cash flow to annual reporting, from team coaching to budget forecasting—this is your domain.
Daily
Oversee the full financial operation and manage the AR/AP team, Project Office, and Controller.
Make ad-hoc decisions on cash flow, payment priorities, and credit limits (in collaboration with the Controller).
Weekly
Align with the management team and finance staff on payment statuses, cash flow, and forecasting.
Provide updates on financial performance and project deviations.
Monthly
Review and approve monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and budget tracking.
Present P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, including variance analysis.
Quarterly
Co-develop the investment policy and spending plans with leadership.
Update forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs (MRR, churn, etc.).
Annually
Prepare the annual budget and forecast.
Lead the audit process and draft annual reports in collaboration with our accountants.
Present yearly results and advise on strategic decisions.
Coach the finance team and lead continuous process improvements.
A completed degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics (Bachelor or Master level).
At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Experience with financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to think strategically and act operationally.
